To safeguard these precious lives, Yakushima's local community has established a few important guidelines:

🚫 No beach access from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (to avoid disturbing nesting turtles)

🔦 Avoid shining lights on the beach (hatchlings may be disoriented)
